Today is a full day! After breakfast, you’ll be met at the hotel by your guide for the day along with private transportation. Your first stop is at Icod de los Vinos where you can see the oldest dragon tree in Tenerife, the Drago Milenario and visit the quaint old town. Next, you’ll visit Garachico for lunch. Once home to American colonists, this port town served as the gateway for trade between Europe and the New World in the 16th and 17th centuries. The city is defined by its beautiful churches, monasteries, and unique craggy coastline. Last, at an altitude of 600 meters, you’ll visit Masca, whose homes are perched on narrow mountain ridges along with deep cypress and palm tree covered ravines. This is one of the most picturesque parts of the island.

This afternoon, you’ll set out for a group whale watch to spot bottlenose dolphins, pilot whales, and 21 other marine species that are unique to this area. Since these beautiful creatures don’t migrate, visitors are practically guaranteed to spot marine life every day of the year! Enjoy some time relaxing this evening and perhaps head into town to check out some of the local gastronomy!

After your included breakfast, you'll enjoy a leisurely morning to yourself where you can walk around the seaside boardwalk or enjoy the pool with magnificent views of the ocean and La Gomera in the background.
In the late afternoon, you'll visit Las Cañadas National Park, home to Mt. Teide, declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2007. This park is characterized by its unique lunar landscape and flora and fauna, seen nowhere else on earth. Once in the park, pass the Chinyero volcano (site of the last major volcanic eruption in Tenerife in 1909), and stop at Roques de Garcia, where you can admire the view of Mt. Teide from 3,718 meters high.
Enjoy the beautiful sunset overlooking the other Canary Islands and can stop to take memorable photos at a few of Mt. Teide’s stunning sunset, followed by dinner and a stargazing session guided by a professional astronomer where you'll be able to gaze stars, planets, galaxies and constellations that you can't see anywhere else on the planet.
Tenerife is one of the best locations on the planet for stargazing because of its clear dark skies, low light pollution and a high altitude.

Today your official guide and transportation will meet you at the hotel to take you on a tour in the north of the island. You’ll start out with a quick drive through Tenerife's capital, Santa Cruz, one of the world’s busiest shipping ports. Also, see how the how the city’s restaurants, art galleries, natural history museum, and striking contemporary architecture of the Adan Martin Auditorium and the Tenerife Espacio de las Artes all contribute to a definitively Spanish cosmopolitan atmosphere. The day continues with a walking tour in La Laguna which is considered to be the cultural capital of the Canary Islands. Its historical center was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999 and is known for its many beautiful churches, including Santo Domingo, the Church of the Holy Christ and the San Miguel Chapel. Afterwards, the tour continues to Bodegas Monje Vineyard in El Sauzal for a tasting of traditional Canarian wine. Located 500 meters above sea level, the vineyard is situated on rocky ground and dry lava from the nearby volcano. The Monje family is among Tenerife’s first wine producers, cultivating and bottling wine since 1750 from the three grapes grown here — Listan Negro, Listan Blanco, and Negramoll.

Enjoy a day of leisure during your last day where you can soak up some sun and enjoy the spectacular views of the other islands.
For those looking for more adventure, you can take an optional tour to the Northern part of the island where you'll have the option of exploring Puerto de La Cruz or Loro Parque on your own. Puerto de la Cruz has many highlights including the Botanical Gardens which were created in 1788 and contain one of the world's most unique collections of plants and trees from five continents, including the local Roca tree. You will also have time to visit San Telmo, Plaza del Charco, the La Ranilla district and the Taoro Park, where the Taoro Casino is located. While in Puerto de La Cruz, you may opt to visit Loro Parque, a world-class attraction that's been rated as the #2 animal park in Europe by Trip Advisor. Today, the park houses an immense diversity of animal species, integrated amidst palm trees and other exotic plants. Its commitment to conservation and sustainability has made Loro Parque one of the most recognized zoos in the world, boasting over 44 million visitors since its gates first opened in 1972. When you’re ready, you’ll be taken back to the hotel with private transportation.
