Spend your days golfing in the Canary Islands on Tenerife’s top golf courses. In the evenings, enjoy all that the lively boardwalk and beaches of Costa Adeje have to offer. This 6-day itinerary features 4 days of golf and accommodations at a 4-star oceanfront hotel on the southern portion of the island.
Upon arrival to Tenerife, pick up your included rental car and head to Costa Adeje. Once you check into your 4-star hotel, the rest of the evening is yours to enjoy. Explore the boardwalk, take a sunset stroll along the beach, and then enjoy dinner at one of the many fantastic restaurants close by.
For your first day of golf in the Canary Islands, head to Golf Las Americas in the center of nearby Playa de Las Américas. Set in a natural, gently-sloping amphitheatre with stunning views of the neighboring island of La Gomera, this 18-hole course has plenty of natural obstacles, including lakes, streams, and waterfalls. It is also protected from the wind by the surrounding hills, providing an ideal venue year round.
Today, drive north along the coast to the Abama Golf and Spa Resort. Built to a professional standard, the 18 holes are dotted with 22 lakes and over 90,000 palm trees. While you play, enjoy beautiful views of the ocean and La Gomera.
Head south for your third day of golf. Situated between Reina Sofia Airport and Los Cristianos, Golf del Sur has hosted various international tournaments since its opening in 1987. The course’s wide fairways are lined with lush native plants, plus giant cacti and palm trees and feature black volcanic sand in the bunkers.
For your final full day, drive only a few minutes from your resort to Golf Costa Adeje, considered to be one of the most impressive golf courses in the Canary Islands. Built on land once covered with banana plantations, the original stone walls were integrated into the course, making for some interesting hazards.
After breakfast, use the last of your time in Tenerife to walk the beach or relax at the hotel’s pool before heading to the airport for your flight.
