Spend the afternoon on a private tour. First, head to La Laguna, the cultural capital of the Canary Islands. Its historical center was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999 and is known for its many beautiful churches, including Santo Domingo, the Church of the Holy Christ, and the San Miguel Chapel. Afterwards, the tour continues to Bodegas Monje Vineyard, where you'll enjoy a tasting of traditional Canarian wines. The Monje family is among Tenerife’s first wine producers, cultivating and bottling wine from the three grapes grown here — Listan Negro, Listan Blanco, and Negramoll.
Today's half-day, private tour takes you to Garachico. Once home to American colonists, this port town served as the gateway for trade between Europe and the New World in the 16th and 17th centuries. The city is defined by its beautiful churches, monasteries, and unique, craggy coastline.
